What is Direct LifeStyle?
Direct LifeStyle is social hub for all that is amazing on the web. Members can submit news, articles, videos & images that will be placed in the "upcoming" area until it gains sufficient shares (votes) to be promoted to the front page.

How do I Submit a Story?
You can submit a new story in just 3 easy steps.

Step 1 - Submit a URL (optional)
Enter the "URL" of the article or video you would like to submit(web address found in the address bar), Click "Continue"

Step 2 - Edit Story Details
*Choose or upload a picture, Click "Upload"(optional).
Please note: this feature is still in its beta stage, you might have to refresh the page to load the picture correctly.
*Change the title of the story.(optional)
*Choose a category that is relevant for your story.
*Fill out any relevant search tags(keywords) for your story.(optional)
*Fill out a description for your story.
*Click "Preview and Submit".

Step 3 - Review the Story
Check if looks like you want, then click "Submit" and you are done!

You can also use the bookmarklet tool located in your profile for easy submission.

How do I Vote?
A user can vote by simply clicking on the share button on the left side of the story's title. Only two(2) votes are needed for a story to be promoted to the main page.

How do I report a Story?
As a Direct LifeStyle user, your help is appreciated in reporting duplicate stories (not allowed), dead links, incorrect stories, oldness, lameness, and spam by clicking the "bury" link below each story description. This will gray out the story for the current user. When a story gets enough reports, or "buries", it disappears from the Direct LifeStyle queue and only appears in search results and user profiles.

How does Karma Work?
The karma feature is a point system user's gain for their activity in the community. A user's karma points will be recalculated at various times throughout the day for a period of one (1) year.
The point system is as follows:
Votes Before Link Went Published = 3 points
Votes After Link Went Published = 1 points
Links Submitted But Not Published = 2 points
Links Submitted And Published = 20 points
Comments = 3 points

What are Groups?
Direct LifeStyle's members can use groups to create or join topics of common interests. When a member of Direct LifeStyle submits a new story, they have the option of submitting to any of the groups they have joined. Members can also use our groups feature to their advantage by creating a group to promote their personal brand, business, music group or organization.
